In a hamlet not far from where Balthus has lived and worked all his life, artists will be hosted in a beautiful 18th century chalet called “La Maison Jaune”. There, facing the mountains, we hope they will find inspiration and renew Gstaad’s link with the great artists of our time.

The Urban Redevelopment Authority (URA), City of Pittsburgh (City), Sports & Exhibition Authority (SEA) and the Pittsburgh Penguins (Developer) are seeking a consultant or consultant team to create a public art plan for the Pittsburgh Arena which focuses on the exterior of the building and the surrounding site.
Eleventh Annual Hale‘iwa Arts Festival
Visual artists are invited to apply for the Eleventh Annual Hale‘iwa Arts Festival Summer Event to be held on July 19 and 20, 2008, at Hale’iwa Beach Park in Historic Hale‘iwa Town. Artists will be selected by jury to exhibit and sell their original artwork and demonstrate their artistic styles and techniques during this two-day fine arts festival. Original and limited edition works of fine art in all media will be given priority. Fees apply.
Art-Koltsovo: ILLUMINATORS 1 Open call
Yekaterinburg "Koltsovo" airport announces the beginning of the international exhibition project "ILLUMINATORY" which will be shown in April – June 2008 in the open spaces of the International terminal of the airport. The works for the exhibitions will be selected on a competitive basis by an international award panel.
The Baltimore Women's Film Festival Call for Entries
The Baltimore Women's Film Festival is now accepting entries for its 2008 events. The festival is dedicated and focused on seeking out and promoting cinema created by and for women. This non-profit festival is held during October, breast cancer awareness month. 50% of all ticket sale proceeds are donated to breast cancer research and the outreach/survivorship program for breast cancer patients.

"Oil Drum Art Exhibition 2" call for entries
Sculptors over 18 invited to submit works for the 20th Annual Sculpture Garden exhibition
Burlington County College in Pemberton, NJ, invites sculptors over 18 years of age to submit works for the 20th Annual Sculpture Garden exhibition. Works must be free-standing and able to withstand changing weather conditions. There is a $10.00 entry fee for three pieces, and artists may submit up to three views of each work. Selected sculptures will be exhibited for a period of one year, with installation in August, 2007. Artists will receive a $250.00 stipend plus travel expenses and sales of the works will be encouraged. An exhibition catalog will be printed. The competition will be judged by Mary Salvante, Independent Curator in Philadelphia, PA.

The National Park Services offers opportunities for two-dimensional visual artists, photographers, sculptors, performers, writers, composers, and craft artists to live and work in the parks. There are currently 29 parks participating in the Artist-In-Residence program.
