Art Basel

June is the month when art lovers from every continent travel to Basel. Their objective? Art Basel - The World's Leading Art Show. Top galleries from Europe, America, Asia and Australia present art from the 20th and 21st century, offering a full spectrum from modern to contemporary art. This explains why some tens of thousands of art lovers, artists, gallery owners, museum directors and leading personalities, together with a cross section of the world's art public have been regulars at Art Basel for the past 34 years. The Paris daily Le Monde gave the show the title 'La meilleure du monde'. Break 2.2

The Break 2.2 Festival (previously called Break 21 Festival) is an international art festival focused on urban, technologically supported artistic practices that can be considered part of the current avant-garde. SPAZI APERTI

SPAZI APERTI is a collective artistic manifestation that aimes to reunite in the different alternative spaces of the Romanian Academy works of 43 scholars of foreign roman academies and also of 3 Italian artists. The main goal of this international project, concluded with the two weeks exhibition, is to generate a multidisciplinary medium (there are painters, sculptors, photographers, architects, musicians, choreographers, filmmakers), a benefic artistic environment where the main tools of expression for the young participants are interaction, communication and collaboration, not only between them or with the public, but also with a specific site. During the the exhibition take place several events (music, dance, video projections etc.) that will complete this multidisciplinary and international artistic frame desired, features suggested also by the name of the project: Spazi Aperti (Open Spaces). Finally it’s about art, people, interrelations.

The Armory Show

The Armory Show, the International Fair of New Art, is the world's leading art fair devoted exclusively to contemporary art. In its sixth annual exhibition, The Armory Show 2004 will present some 175 international galleries, including many of the most important contemporary dealers showcasing new art from around the world. New York is home to more collectors, galleries, critics and artists than any other city in the world. Next March, they will be joined by many thousands of their peers from around the globe making New York the true center of the international art world. The Armory Show is the successor to the highly acclaimed Gramercy International Art Fairs that attracted thousands to their New York, Los Angeles and Miami shows between 1994 and 1998. The Stray Show. Adopting an ad-hoc art fair format, The Stray Show embraces the values of the independence and resourcefulness of the alternative gallerist. By straying from current models and methodologies of mainstream galleries, these spaces fulfill a need for cutting-edge exhibition spaces sympathetic to the creative demands of emerging artists.

The Dublin Art Fair

The Dublin Art Fair is a new Galleries only Art fair and is taking place on the 11th - 14th September 2008 in the main hall of the Royal Dublin Society (RDS), Dublin, Ireland. The fair will host exhibitions from approximately 58 Galleries. Over half of these are Irish based Galleries and the additional Galleries will be a comprehensive mix of UK and International Galleries. The fair is targeting the discerning buyers and collectors in Ireland and abroad and an international marketing and PR campaign to match the ambition of this project is being executed. The Irish art market has expanded rapidly over the past decade and Ireland is prime for an art fair of such international standing.
