DUBAI, UAE — NVIDIA is proud to announce that the GeForce® 8400M GS graphics processor is featured in the stunning new HP
Pavilion dv2800 Artist Edition Notebook. With artwork by young
Portuguese designer Joao Oliveira giving its outside a distinctive
look, NVIDIA’s technology ensures that users also have the graphics
horsepower to unleash their own creativity.
For artists and designers worldwide, visual computing is an essential
tool for personal expression. Earlier this year NVIDIA launched its
NVart initiative, a competition which challenges entrants to create
stunning digital artworks on a series of themes. The first NVart
winners will be on display at the Tate Modern Museum in London as part
of Supernatural Studios' 'Digital Dreams' lecture series and
exhibition. Visitors to the event will also have the opportunity to get
hands-on with the HP Artist Edition Notebook and enter a competition to
win one for themselves.
With GeForce at its heart, the HP Artist Edition Notebook not only
delivers high performance in creative applications but also provides
great communication and entertainment features, helping users to stay
connected at work and play. "Advances in graphics technology mean that
the PC is now as indispensible to artists as paint or a canvass," says
Bernhard Gleissner, NVIDIA Vice President of Sales EMEA and India.
"Our technology enables the digital art community worldwide to realise
their ideas and we're delighted to showcase their talent through
initiatives like 'Digital Dreams' and NVart."
"Thanks to NVIDIA GeForce graphics, the HP Pavilion dv2800 Artist
Edition Notebook is as visually appealing on the inside as it is on the
outside," said Achim Kuttler, vice president and general manager,
consumer products, Personal Systems Group, HP EMEA. "The combination of
the notebook's stunning, stand-out design and its great graphics
performance ensure that our young, IT-savvy customers have access to
both style and substance."
The Artists Edition Notebook will be available in France, UK, Spain,
Italy, Germany, Netherlands, Turkey, Middle-East, Nordics, Portugal,
Switzerland and Russia from April 2008. For details go to
