John Oliver of Notting Hill who revolutionised the world of paint in the late Sixties with vivid new colours like Purple Heart and Psychadahlia and his hand printed metallic wallpapers launches new artist creation "Interior Couture" by DFBean.

DFBean, recent graduate of Central Saint Martins Fine Art, is becoming increasingly well known for her wallpaper and textiles.

Her first collection featuring her pop art handbag sculptures have become iconic fabrics and Art Wallpaper, following in the Marimekko industrial Art tradition. Her work has already been on display in Harvey Nichols and Selfridges designer room and Paul Smith displayed her sculpture in his window during Milan Fashion week .

Most recently Bean captured the sponsorship of Digetex, winner of the BIDA 2005 award for best new products and are the market leader in innovating digital print techniques. Digetex is exclusively producing her first range of printed designs on cushions, cotton voiles, upholstery fabrics and wallpaper.

The first commercial collections will be launched on 15th September in time for the Christmas market at John Oliver’s Notting Hill store. The Interior Couture range will feature the artwork of the iconic Handbag textiles, wallpaper and cushions and the latest Bird and Chandelier collection.

This offering, inspired by her Primrose Hill house burning down in April destroying most of her original art work, is a testament to the spirit of its creator. "This trauma led to vivid dreams where I imagined that I turned into a bird and flew away from the burning house". Her Chandelier collection was imagined from the shadows of the burnt chandeliers on the walls in the house.

DFBean is part of the contemporary art movement who works with the fusion between art, fashion and interior architecture.
