With my first shillings I started buying music in Woolworths and began dreaming of being a rock star. I tried, I wrote songs, I never could play, so I became a critic. My interview with The Cure was the first (they were either high or dull or in shock). I put a band together and had 'the' experience as the front man. I don't think most music is up to much, but every genre has its exceptional artists. Now there’s access to stuff outside the mainstream and brilliance there to be discovered. It’s time to put those tens of thousands of music hours to use…
