picks, spoons and blades

by Jesse Wanamaker last modified Jan 27, 2008 09:49 PM

picks,
spoons and
blades

sore hands
and pooling sweat,
makes cracks
into chasms.

i know the frustration
when things form in mind,
but don’t come out in craft.
imagination can’t be reduced to three dimensions.

and it’s not you,
or me.
time is the antagonist.

your hard work
crumbles in your hands,
the traces are left under your nails,
but then,
there’s nothing
to collect dust on a shelf.
